Living room: sofa and chairs
- All legs on: a three-seater sofa (about 200 to 230 cm wide) along the 320 cm side, with two armchairs facing it, all sitting fully on the rug.
- Front legs on: in a smaller room, keep just the front legs of each seat on the rug. The rug still anchors the space and more floor shows around the edge.
- Corner sofa: run the 320 cm side along the longest arm of the sofa.
Dining room: table for six
Chairs need about 60 to 75 cm behind the table so they stay on the rug when pulled out. A 240 x 320 cm rug therefore fits a table up to about 100 x 180 cm, which usually seats six.
